Dr. Landi Lowell - The Doctor
Landi F. Lowell, MD, FAAP, FACP is a physician board certified in both Adult Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Dr. Lowell (formerly Halloran) grew up in rural Michigan and graduated salutatorian of her class in 1991. She attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo on full academic scholarship, graduating cum laude in 1995 with a B.A. in Biomedical Sciences with triple minors in Chemistry, Dance, and Spanish. She did undergraduate research at Pharmacia Upjohn in Kalamazoo for a PhD who was researching metastatic colon cancer. She then went on to medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, MI. She did independent research on kidney stones in Cystic Fibrosis patients and presented that research at the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference in Montreal, Canada. She gradutated from medical school earning an MD degree in 1999. After graduating medical school, Dr. Lowell pursued specialty training at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. She completed two full residencies poroviding in depth training in both pediatrics and adult internal medicine. She became board certified in adult internal medicine in 2004 and recertified in 2014. She became board certified in pediatrics in 2005 and recertified in 2015.
Angie Cortez RN- The Nurse
Dr. Lowell was in private practice in Indiana for over five years, prior to moving to Gillette to be closer to her parents who live here. After moving to Gillette, Wyoming, she worked as a hospitalist for Campbell County Memorial Hospital seeing infants, children, and adults in a hosptial setting. While on staff at the hospital, she was the director of the Pediatric Hospitalist Service. She was also the chairperson of the Department of Maternal-Child Medicine and Section Chief of Pediatrics. She was also the Director of the Coumadin Clinic. Currently, she chairs the ethics committee. She is also the medical director for Shekinah Medical Spa (owner/operator is Joanna Bucholz, RN.)
Dr. Lowell is the mother of two fantastic children. Bradley Halloran is a music student on scholarship at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas studying Euphonium Performance. Ella Halloran attends Sage Valley Junior High and plays soccer, volleyball, and the French Horn.
Angie grew up in Greybull, WY and moved with her husband and 4 children to Gillette in 2005. Angie’s desire to pursue a career in nursing was greatly influenced by compassionate nurses who cared for her when she gave birth to her children. Angie received her Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing from Northern Wyoming Community College and plans to continue her education to receive her BSN. Upon graduation and passing the National Council Licensure Examination, Angie began working as a registered nurse caring for residents at a skilled long-term care facility and accumulated many hours of bedside care. In the last four years, Angie has worked with Board Certified Internists and has gained extensive experience in managing many different disease processes of Internal Medicine patients in the outpatient clinical setting. Angie is very dedicated and prides herself in providing quality, compassionate care to her patients and says that some of her happiest moments is when she cares for others.
In her spare time, Angie likes to watch sporting events, have bbq’s with family and friends, genealogy research and create art with all kinds of media.
Joshua J. Geiser- The Office Manager
Joshua J. Geiser was born in the cold Colorado mountains in a small town mountain located in South-Western Colorado known as Alamosa. His parents, Johnny and Claudette Geiser, moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 1994 and he has lived there ever since. In the year of 2010 he received a congressional nomination from Wyoming State Senator John Barrasso to attend the United States Naval Academy. Upon rejection from the academy, Joshua attended and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and a minor in Philosophy. During the course of his academic career he receieved an EMT-B certificate, CPR/BLS training, with tens of hours of relevant and related college courses to medicine and science. In the future he plans to attened Graduate school to pursue a PhD in an academic field, while pursing his deep love of music. In his off time he spends time writing/playing music and reading.
